Djinn are intermediary entities—akin to Greek daemons—associated with numbers; they are credited with teaching humans how to imbue objects with signs and meanings.
The more one gains a deeper understanding of mathematics in a cosmic sense—such as through astrology, astronomy, numerology, and other disciplines relying on numerical principles—the easier it becomes to work with these entities. This allows not only for receiving their assistance but also for engaging in fair exchanges that benefit them in return; after all, any use of energy (whether natural, egregoric, vital force, chi, or astral) requires a specific expenditure of energy, which they utilize to carry out the tasks we request of them.
Due to the current sensitivity of the natural world—where the barriers and boundaries between the physical realm and the astral plane have grown thinner—tulpas are easier to create, though they prove more difficult to dissipate. The greater the magician's skill, the easier it is to defend against the astral attacks that occur from time to time; while some tulpas may cross into other planes, others can be halted through proper protection and banishing rituals.
Greater focus, concentration, and direction of attention make it easier to secure the Djinn's assistance; conversely, excessive distractions and energetic interference make obtaining their help more difficult, as they may end up hindering rather than aiding the process.
